Face Paint
The wide choice of patterns on ghillie suits, textile camouflage tape and weapon camouflage allows army snipers — and even airsofters — to blend perfectly with their surroundings. A great challenge for both professionals and amateurs is certainly also camouflaging the face with paint. The reason is straightforward. In nature there is an endless range of colour shades, so applying the right combination of colours to the face, ears, hands or neck to remain invisible and blend into the surroundings requires a certain amount of experience and undoubtedly quality face camouflage paints.
Face Paints Are a Sure-Fire Solution
The imagination knows no bounds. In nature you can use mud, tree resin, animal blood, grass dyes and other "tricks" for face camouflage, but the disadvantage of these natural pigments is their relatively low durability during movement in terrain and the need for more frequent application. Not to mention the possible health risks.
By contrast, face paints from manufacturers Helikon-Tex and Mil-Tec are harmless to health and, very importantly, stay on the face for a long time even in damp conditions. In addition, they allow uncomplicated application of a striped camouflage pattern used in coniferous forest environments, but are equally useful for creating larger irregular camouflage patches suitable for deciduous vegetation environments.
