Bush Ranger is a working knife. Thanks to the materials used, it is designed for extreme conditions and demanding use. The knife was designed by Mike Wallace, who drew on the concept of the popular Bush Ranger fixed-blade field knife. This fixed-blade knife by Lynn C. Thompson was manufactured and sold by Cold Steel with great success in its early days in the knife and cold weapon market. Despite being designed for demanding fieldwork, it is equally useful in the city when carried in jeans or trousers and for everyday carry (EDC). The broad "Sheffield clip" blade is made from CPM-S35VN steel. This exceptional American steel is not only very strong and durable, but can achieve outstanding blade sharpness and the blade then has a long service life. A very fine-grained powder steel with uniform microstructure offers very stable properties. It is resistant even with a very fine blade bevel, reliable and highly corrosion-resistant. It is a good choice for high-quality custom knives and tools. The CPM (crucible particle metallurgy) process guarantees a very homogeneous, high-quality steel structure, dimensional stability, good sharpening characteristics and strength compared with steels manufactured by conventional methods. Despite lower chromium content, this steel exhibits very good corrosion resistance results. The knife opens directly when drawn from the pocket using the Thumb Plate system, which was patented by Andrej Demko. The handle is well-shaped for gripping in both standard and reverse positions. It is made from G-10 material and shaped by CNC. The knife is equipped with a Tri-Ad Lock™ safety catch, as well as a secondary safety catch, which is highly resistant to impact.
