The torch delivers a light output of up to 900 lumens (ANSI) and a beam distance of up to 340 metres. The light source is a top-class Cree XP-L HI (High Intensity) LED, with its light directed by a special TIR (Total Internal Reflection) optic with the ability to adjust the beam width (zoom function). The beam width is controlled by rotating the ring on the torch head. Despite the adjustable optic, the torch maintains full waterproofing to IP68 standard to a depth of two metres underwater. Robust and water-repellent design makes this tactical torch suitable for harsh outdoor conditions, for professionals, armed forces and hunting. For power supply, you can use one high-capacity Li-ion rechargeable battery type 18650 or two disposable CR123A batteries. The torch is switched on using a tactical switch at the end, and modes are switched using a side button.

Using the Fenix FD41 zoom torch

To switch on, press the switch located at the end of the torch; for momentary activation press the button. By pressing the side button at the torch head you can switch between power modes at any time during operation. To switch to strobe mode, hold the side button for approximately 0.5 seconds.

The beam width is controlled by rotating the ring on the torch head.

Intelligent overheat protection – operation in turbo mode 900 lumens is limited to 5 minutes continuously, after which the torch automatically switches to 350 lumens mode. At the same time the torch monitors its temperature and if it rises above 55 °C, it will automatically reduce power in gradual steps of 5% every 30 seconds until its temperature stabilises. Once the torch temperature drops below 55 °C, the power will automatically increase again to the original level.

Warning

Do not disassemble sealed parts in the torch head yourself, this will void the warranty.
Use only quality batteries and rechargeable batteries.
If the protective rubber rings appear damaged after prolonged use, replace them. The rings should also be lubricated to prevent rubber erosion. By following these rules the torch will be properly protected against water.
If the torch does not switch to higher power modes, flickers or does not light up, it may be due to one of the following reasons:
Batteries are almost flat – replace them.
Contacts inside the torch are dirty – clean them with cotton wool soaked in alcohol.
The rear of the torch is loose – tighten it.
