Fenix HM60R is a high-performance rechargeable head torch that offers a light output of up to 1200 lumens with a beam distance of 116 metres in the main reflector. The second reflector with a power of up to 350 lumens has a very wide and smooth light beam and neutral white light colour. The advantage of this colour is more natural and higher contrast colour reproduction in the field. Control of both LEDs is independent and use of the head torch is therefore very simple (the beams cannot be combined, however). The head torch also features red light with a power of 5 lumens. The package includes a rechargeable Li-ion 18650 battery with a capacity of 2600 mAh, which charges directly in the head torch via a USB-C connector. The head torch additionally offers a special function called "FREQUENCY SENSING" in the 130 and 350 lumen modes of the distance reflector, which detects movement and can automatically adjust the power according to running speed (step frequency). It is therefore suitable for night running, ski running, hiking, fishing, speleology and work use. The all-metal construction ensures high durability, optimal cooling and is fully waterproof to IP68 standard to a depth of 2 metres underwater.
All torch parameters (light output, battery runtime, waterproofness, beam distance and impact resistance) are measured in accordance with ANSI/NEMA FL 1-2009 standard.

Use:
The torch may have an insulating cover on the battery inside from the factory. Remove it from the battery before first use.

• Turn on the off head torch to the last used distance reflector mode by holding the button for 0.5 seconds.
• Turn on the off head torch to red light by double-tapping the button quickly.
• Turn off the on head torch by holding the button for 0.5 seconds.
• With the head torch on, you can switch between the distance and wide reflector by holding the button for 1.2 seconds. However, it is not possible to run both reflectors at the same time.

When the head torch is on, you can cycle through power modes in the order 30 - 130 - 350 - 1200 lumens (when the distance reflector is on) by pressing the button briefly. The torch has memory for the distance reflector and will always turn on in the last set mode. The wide reflector always starts in red light 5 lumens and subsequent button presses cycle through the modes in the order 70 - 350 lumens white light and 5 lumen red SOS signal.
Frequency Sensing – this function automatically adjusts the power according to running speed in the 130 and 350 lumen modes on the distance reflector. The standard light output of the head torch is set to 150 steps per minute. At lower speeds, the power gradually reduces to 70% and at higher speeds, the power increases to 150% of normal.
Battery charge status indication: Press the button briefly (the head torch must be off) to activate the battery charge status LED indicator in the button. Green light indicates the battery is charged to 85–100%, flashing green indicates 50–85%, red light 25–50%, flashing red light less than 25%.
Lock the head torch against accidental activation: Loosen the battery lock of the head torch by a quarter turn, this breaks the electrical contact and the head torch cannot be turned on. The button can also be locked electronically – with the head torch off, hold the button down for 3 seconds. After locking, the torch will flash red. To unlock, hold the button down for 3 seconds again.
Overheat protection: If the head torch temperature exceeds 55 °C, it will automatically reduce the power in gradual steps until the temperature stabilises. Once the temperature drops below 55 °C, the highest power modes can be used again.
Low battery warning: If the battery voltage drops below the set level, the head torch will automatically switch to lower power modes. If the head torch is already switched to the lowest power mode and the battery is critically low, the indicator in the button will start flashing red. The head torch will continue to shine until the battery is completely discharged. Note: the low battery warning is calibrated only for the voltage of rechargeable Li-ion batteries.
Charging:
Unscrew the waterproof nut on the side that covers the USB-C connector. Plug the USB-C charging cable into the head torch and the other end into a computer USB connector, mains USB adapter or car USB adapter (not included in the package). You can also use any mobile phone charger with a USB-C connector for charging. During charging, the side button lights red and turns green when fully charged. The charging time for a fully discharged battery is approximately 3 hours. The Li-ion battery used does not suffer from memory effect, so you can charge the head torch at any time. After charging, tighten the waterproof nut again.

Warning:

• Do not disassemble sealed parts yourself, as this will void the warranty.
• If using disposable CR123A batteries, do not attempt to charge them in the head torch.
• Remove the batteries from the torch if you will not be using them for a long time or if the batteries are already discharged. Otherwise, some lower quality batteries may damage the head torch.
• If the head torch is flashing, not switching to higher power modes, or not turning on, it could be one of the following reasons:
  • Batteries are almost discharged – charge them or replace them.
  • The head torch lock is loose – tighten it.
  • Electrical contacts are dirty – clean them with a cotton bud soaked in alcohol.

Warranty: Five-year warranty on the head torch, two-year warranty on the battery.
