The hard-anodised construction of the pot weighs 66% less than cast iron and is highly resistant to scratching. The lid has a deeper recess to easily hold hot coals. Dutch ovens from GSI Outdoors are designed so that a 10" pot fits comfortably into a 12". The Dutch oven can be placed in hot coals or used as a hanging pot over a fire.
