An extra vestibule for the Caravan and Bolen family tents. Husky Caravan is a separately sold canopy that extends the tent's living space by another two metres. It clips to the tent in three places using the buckle made for the purpose — ideal for holidays and longer camping trips where the family needs somewhere to shelter from both sun and rain.

Two extra metres of living space

With a 325 × 200 cm footprint and a height of 210 cm, the canopy creates a covered space in front of the entrance where you can stand comfortably, sit at a table or store gear. The 12.7 mm durawrap poles and reflective guy lines keep it stable in any weather — and the reflective lines stay visible after dark.

Compatible with the Caravan and Bolen models

The canopy is compatible with the Caravan 12, Caravan 17, Bolen 4 and Bolen 5 tents, which have the buckle made for attaching it. It is not compatible with Caravan and Bolen models made before 2019. The fabric has a polyurethane coating with a 3,000 mm H₂O water column, the packed canopy takes up 78 × 24 cm and weighs 3.4 kg.

Pros and cons of the Husky Caravan

✓ Pros: it considerably enlarges the covered space next to the tent, the 210 cm height lets you stand upright, reflective guy lines for better visibility, sturdy ø 12.7 mm durawrap poles, sold separately.

✗ Cons: it is not a stand-alone shelter — it only works attached to a tent, it is not compatible with Caravan and Bolen models made before 2019, the 3,000 mm water column is lower than in trekking tents, and it adds 3.4 kg to the tent.

How it compares with related models

Unlike stand-alone shelters and tarps, the Husky Caravan attaches directly to the tent and forms a single living space with it. If you are after a free-standing shelter, choose a tarp; if you only need protection from side wind, choose a windbreak.
