The K9 Thorn Cobra-Bravo 45 mm collar with handle is built for exactly this kind of special deployment: you can grab your dog by the handle instantly, and fastening is handled by a climbing-grade Cobra buckle.
Hardware climbers know
This collar features the same hardware used in high-alpine climbing and extreme sports: a Cobra buckle and an adjuster from the Austrian brand Austrialpin. The buckle withstands 9 kN before breaking and 18 kN in a loop; its body is made of 7075 aluminium, the pins and clamping bar of stainless steel and the clamps of brass. The aircraft-grade aluminium adjuster has a strength of 15 kN. The Pa6 polyamide webbing, 2.2 mm thick, has a strength of 20 kN (2000 kg); weather does not harm it, it does not lose its colour, and everyday wear will not make it fray or unravel.
Clip on the carabiner with one hand
The curved, black-anodised aluminium V-ring has a strength of 20 kN and accepts any carabiner, including a Kong Frog quickdraw – you clip it on with one hand while holding the dog with the other. You can attach your unit emblem or your dog's name to the hook-and-loop panel.
