The Pentagon Ajax 2.5 fleece jacket is built from high-volume polyester fleece with a fabric weight of 385 gsm, delivering substantial warmth while staying breathable. Wear it on its own as an outer layer on cooler days, or as an insulating mid-layer beneath a waterproof shell. The 2.5 version comes in a unicolor configuration that fits professional and civilian wardrobes alike.
High warmth-to-weight ratio
The high-volume 385 gsm fleece construction provides significant insulation without the bulk commonly associated with warmer winter layers. The jacket stays comfortable throughout a full day of wear while delivering dependable thermal performance.
Made for active use in the cold
A high CLO value helps retain body heat at low temperatures, while the breathable polyester construction manages moisture during movement. Compared with less breathable insulating layers, it reduces overheating.
Unicolor configuration for duty use
The Ajax 2.5 replaces the contrasting panels of previous generations with a clean monochromatic appearance. This makes it easier to integrate into military, law enforcement, security and professional environments where uniform compliance and a reduced visual signature matter.
Standalone or layered – the MJC® system
It is warm enough to serve as an outer layer in cool conditions, yet low-profile enough to sit under another jacket when temperatures drop further. Thanks to MJC® (Multiple Jacket Compatibility), it links up with selected Pentagon jackets into a single system. This is an insulating layer – it is neither waterproof nor windproof, so pair it with a shell in rain and strong wind.
Comfort during prolonged wear
Flatlock seams reduce friction and improve comfort when the jacket is worn beneath load-bearing equipment, a backpack or an outer shell. Smooth reinforced panels across the chest, shoulders and collar stand up better to abrasion from straps.
