Integrated stove + pot system

Aluminium pot with a capacity of 500 ml and a neoprene handle connects directly to the gas burner – heat goes straight to the bottom through a special finned heat exchanger, which increases efficiency by 25–30 % compared to a standard stove. Result: half a litre of water boils in approximately 2:45 in calm conditions. When stored, the 100 g gas cartridge fits directly inside the pot along with the burner – complete set in your rucksack at approximately 500 g.

Control and use

Piezoelectric ignition, control valve with fine flame adjustment (from low simmer to rapid boiling). Bottom stabilisation plate prevents tipping on uneven ground. Compatible with all standard gas cartridges with Lindal thread (EN 417).

Advantages and disadvantages of Primus Lite Plus

✓ Advantages: high efficiency thanks to the heat exchanger (saves gas), rapid boiling, compact storage of everything in the pot, piezo ignition (no separate lighter needed), reasonable weight, reliability of the Swedish Primus brand.

✗ Disadvantages: limited capacity of 500 ml (for 1 person, not for cooking for a group), small pot diameter limits the type of food (pasta or larger meals are better suited to a standard pot), efficiency drops in strong wind – in the mountains we recommend windproof covers, the neoprene handle may be damaged over time.

Comparison: Lite Plus vs Lite XL, PrimeTech, standard stove

Primus Lite XL is a larger version with a 1 L pot – for pairs or larger portions. Primus PrimeTech is a dual-pot set for groups of 2–3 people with simultaneous cooking of food and water. Standard Primus Flinta stove + separate pot is a cheaper and more flexible alternative, but without a heat exchanger and with lower efficiency. Lite Plus is the best choice for the solo backpacker who wants to save gas and weight.
