AUS-8 STEEL The blade is made from Japanese AUS-8A steel. This stainless steel has very good strength properties and is particularly valued as a material for cutting tools. The steel was subsequently heat-treated for the perfect balance between edge retention and easy re-sharpening. PVD SURFACE TREATMENT The blade has a black PVD surface treatment. This is a coating applied as the final step in knife manufacture at lower temperatures to prevent loss of toughness, deformation or impact on the steel's microstructure. This surface treatment ensures that the coatings are up to three times harder. G10 HANDLE The ergonomic handle features textured G10 scales that fit naturally in the hand, reduce fatigue and support a safe and secure grip even during prolonged use in adverse conditions.
